I have to hold it for thirty days. Right now it is soaking in PB Blaster. It's missing the mag and at least one other part. The firing pin is also frozen.

Just to let everybody know, the gun shop down the street from me bought all the High Standard parts from the person who originally bought them when High Standard went out of business.

Unfortunately Tim (Goodsteel) got banned and his knowledge and good cheer is no longer here to be enjoyed. Apparently Larry Gibson was also banned so there went two of the most knowledgeable posters from our conversations. I have exchanged private messages with each in the past and was always amazed at Tim's wonderful humor and advice and Larry's extremely gentlemanly and polite responses while answering my questions.

I too am in need of one part for a HD Military. I have one of my Boy Scouts who's granddad left him this gun. It's missing the take down lever.

I had a number of High Standards over the years. Many different models including a target pistol in .22 short. I wish I had them all back.

The gun store I posted about in post #13 has some High Standards for sale, the prices are high due to them being consignment guns. That what the person that owns them wants, maybe after a while he might come down in his price.
