haven't been able to find any loads for 55gr. rcbs bullet for 22 hornet ?

What's your rifle's twist? For the slow twist Hornets this bullet is a little long.

not sure what the twist is rifle is a ruger 1b

Don't know what the Ruger is either but give it a try and see how it shoots. Never can tell as some rifles with twist conflicts will handle bullets they shouldn't. I have a 1-16 twist .35 Remington Marlin that stabilizes the Lyman 358009 at lower velocities even and I'd bet against that combo./beagle
