I have a large pin Colt AR. Does anyone know if the small pin hammers and triggers can be honed to fit the larger pins? To pay over $100 for two parts that in small pin configuration cost $20 seems a little steep. Thanks, Rod

I suppose it's possible. What I did was to have the trigger and hammer pin holes bushed to the standard .155" diameter (or whatever it is). It takes a #1 drill bit, and a 1/4-40 tap. This allows you to use any trigger that you desire to.

Thank you nicholst55! I will look into the kit. I'm a little skittish about drilling the receiver. Getting the drill bit exactly centered would need to be done. Tapping after that would be easy. Did you do yours or have it done?? Rod

It would be acceptable to simply drill out the pin holes on your parts. Use proper drill speed, use plenty of lubrication and it'll be fine. While you don't want your trigger and hammer rocking sideways on the pins, the fit is not critical. Alternately, you could drill an undersize hole and ream the hole to size for a more precise fit.
