TAC X VS. Carnuba Red - Which is one is better for indoor low smoke, WST w/BHN 12 9mm 124gr.
Running 100FPS.

Assuming bullet is sized correctly and the BHN is optimal for the pressure.
I am ASKING for FEEDBACK on which lube is best for smoke.

95% of my shooting is indoors with one load....
I know these both are GREAT lubes, just looking for the edge. I want to test the one with best feedback first.
THANK-YOU.

I don't know, I should know but I have never compared the two for smoke..I have to give credit to (Carnauba or Carnuba ?) I've heard it is a very good lube and I would never bet money against it.

In fact, I'm a little embarrassed to the fact I have never compared the two side by side.

Have RR send you a sample to try. His TacX has been as low smoke as anything I've tried. A friend of mine used Carnauba Red and I didn't really see a difference with loadings with 231 in 45acp.

I notice very little smoke with Carnuba Red form Lars in my 30-30 at 2100 fps.

I have been using Caranuba Red on my 310 grain 44's and 375 grain 480's. Both have pretty large grease grooves. I have not noticed smoke when shooting.

I have not tried Tac-X so far.

I do not read about complaints on Randy's lube or White Label. I suspect both are top quality products.

carnauba red is the least smoky bullet lube ive ever used. I used to use it all the time when I shot ppc indoors. Most guys used jacketed and would actually get mad at me because my guns with javalina or other alox based lubes smoked so much that it distracted them and to be honest bothered me too. I switched to carnauba red and never had another complaint.

The TAC 1 is less smoky than the TAC X

Yes there is no Paraffin or Micro wax in it
