Ultra Slug Gun by NEF/H&R refinish questions

I have an ultra slug hunter that needs a complete refinish. The bluing is worn silver/grey.
Looking for ideas.

Cerakote. Make it any color you feel like. Much tougher than original and will cost less than a polish & blue. (unless it's just a blast and dip, then that might be cheaper.)

THANK YOU forbthe reply. I was thinking of cerakote but was wondering about the barrel and breech face where they contact each other and if it would affect that..

Well, you don't have to paint the breech face but you would likely be OK if you did. It adds maybe .0015" if you put it on really thick. On most guns it makes things fit together even better than before.

if it fits in the oven why not bead blast it and heat it in the oven and rust blue it. better than hot blued.

Rustoleam matte black, when worn fixes easy and it protects great.
