So I bought a press middle of last year from a member here. Amazing guy.

No sooner get the press and have 6 straight months of family tragedies.

Over the last few months I've modified the powder measure to work with 06 cases, casted about 500 noe bullets and have about 250 with bll or pc.

I have old old old 700x in the hopper to test metering and so far it seems good. (flaky powder sucks )

I'm getting fresh 2400 and primers tomorrow and I'll be finally loading 3006 through the press.

My question is if anyone else uses their LM for 06 rounds?

I deprime off press before tumbling and bought a hand primer because I think I may like to prime while on the couch, and it'll force me to inspect all cases.

Another question I have, I bought the ultimate die set from Lee and I think it's got the fill case resizing die. Do I just need a neck die once I shoot the brass through my gun? I didn't think that through before I bought the set, Lee is cheap enough I don't mind buying a pacesetter set

the LM was not built to do any sizing on a 06 case so don't try it plate as not strong enough. powder measure could be problem if you go over 20gr .
rest is your call but watch your charges . 06 and double charge is not good and hard to tell.

I'm going to buy a digital scale and weigh every charge.

Never thought about sizing. My cases are tumbled with wash wax and they glide through the size die. Maybe I can do it off press on the Oframe

I've been sizing 30.06 on my LM for years. No problems.

A LM can size 30-06 cases no problem!

The new powder measure Lee has introduced this year can handle almost any size charge.

I have been running a LM since 1992! Ask the people that use them what they can and can not do!

My Loadmaster handles '06 and 270 cases without a problem. Just sayin'

I have 4 complete powder measures so I'll have to modify mine.

Glad to know I can size with the plate

The wash wax tumbling system I use is amazing, I was picking up some cases yesterday and the damn things are slippery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used my LM to load 500 270Win and 500 243Win once.

Went like this:

1. Sized/deprimed in one station and then used Lee Quick Trim with a cordless screwdriver to trim.
2. Stainless steel pin tumbled.
3. Used LM to prime, charge, seat bullet, and factory crimp.

I did chip a shell plate once loading 30-30. The large rim on the 30-30 leaves the shell plate thin in areas. Maybe combine that with an under lubed case? Weak shell plate? Don't know, but it chipped one of the 5 shell stations. After that it would not resize, but worked for everything else. Go figure.

My LM was a gift from my oldest son, it came setup from the factory to load 30-06. I load lots of 06 based cartridges on it...
