157985I was backing out the tension stem to add more stick 50/50 and the entire stem just unscrewed out of the reservoir. Now what, think Lyman will make this right? I can believe the only metal keeping that stem rooted was this flimsy. I did use it for probably 10 years or more.

while it's surely worth a try, but I doubt they'll do anything for free.

It's probably not too difficult of a fix, if you are handy.

You could fix it with a washer or plate on the bottom and counter sink the bench.

Or most all Lyman dies will fit an RCBS.

I may end up fitting a washer and recessing the bench to accommodate. It may easier than shipping this hunk of cast metal. Good call Mal Paso. Thanks.

Mal Paso, just found a washer and drilled it out to 3/8". Slipped it between the stem and body, countersunk the bench about a quarter inch with a 7/8" paddle bit. Put it all back together and it works!!!! Thanks so much for the idea. Man I love this place. Now back to my .38 wadcutters...

Very Cool!

I like to keep a couple 1/4x2" bolts handy too. I have broken the linkage bolts and the lower part of the handle sizing large water dropped Boolits.

Good work guys!

Between Lyman, JonB in Glencoe and my misc fastener bins, I've managed to keep two old Lyman 45's going strong for several years.

Nice that Lyman still carries some parts for the old ones.
