Too many projects and not enough cash, but thank you for posting. Might have to let go of my BH???

Man, That is nice. I had a chance on a 80's model redhawk in .41 mag and let it get away. I've been kicking myself in the butt since then.

Just ordered one, really like my 45 colt in the same configuration.

Any idea what the 41 actually sells for?

$800-875....bought mine right after they were announced..second batch that Davidson's received... My only wish is that they had made it a round butt like the .45 Colt/ACP...

Two handed standing at 50 yards on a 6" paper plate..one of my best groups at that distance ever...

Hopefully it will be made a regular in their lineup...Bob

I wish I hadn't seen this. The 45 ACP/45Colt is really nice and now I want one.

I am going to call my " guy " and see what he can come up with.

Well, I'm just not excited. I have two RH .41's and they shoot fine. Triggers are terrible on them. My S&W's that cost the same (or less) all shoot just as well but I can shoot better with them due to the much nicer trigger. When Ruger was a 'working man's gun' and the price was 2/3 to 1/2 that of a Smith they really fit the bill. But now sadly to say they just don't meet my expectations.

I agree. Rugers are built well but the triggers are it's downfall. Even "slicked up" they fall short of a Smith in my opinion. I have a Smith .41 mag mountain with a great trigger and is accurate to boot. The 45 ACP/45 Colt Ruger is a pretty sweet combo. I could order one but I would like to handle one first.

Looks like there is a Davidson's Exclusive 7.5" Super Redhawk .41 Magnum in the works too.

I wish the barrel was a bit longer.

For those that have them, how is the balance? How are the cylinders and barrels slugging for you?

Absolutely or the Brooklyn Sportsmans club. Either way sounds like fun.

You can still find lightly used 5.5" Redhawks in stainless or blue.
Balance feels good to me and I am surprise how accurate I am with the shorter sight radius of the 4.2" barrel.
A .410 pin gauge just fits and is the same in all cylinder throats, .411 is a no go. I have not slugged the bore.

I've got a 5.5" and 7.5" with scope already (redhawk) with several Blackhawks. I would have liked to see a 5" barrel on the new one. But yes, they are out there and are impessive (and heavy) to say the least.

Hehe, okay I got it, you want shorter than what was previously offered and longer than what is now offered. We .41 Magnum enthusiasts are a hard bunch to please. :D

I am wondering if the 7.5" Super Redhawk .41 Magnum listed on galleryofguns is really on a Super Redhawk frame or a regular Redhawk frame.
It is listed at 51oz for the 41 and the 44 Mag is 53oz so that makes it look like it is a regular Redhawk as before.

I have had two different 5.5" Redhawk .41 mags.
Very nice guns , but very heavy.
I found them to be very accurate with jacketed bullets, but less so with cast.
My S&W 657 Classic is the most accurate .41 mag I have.

Had a 5.5" Redhawk and is one of the few .41s I have sold off... MUCH prefer the balance of the new 4.2".

I think that SRH is going to be just like a .44... Much as I don't need one I may get one and have it cut back to 5.5"....we shall see.

As to the price comparison between Smith&Wessons and Rugers...back 20 years ago a Smith was worth more than a Ruger. Since then Ruger's quality control and and finishing has become even better...can you really say the same about a S&W...where the blue will come off with Hoppe's #9, barrels break off and the InetrLock locks itself during firing... I'll take this Redhawk any day over a "new" 629....any day.
