I just began swaging with a ch4d 105 and a 101 set of swaging dies! Both in .429. So far I am using a swc and hp nose punch. I am not fond of the ch hp nose punch looks.
Have any of you made a larger or a different profile punch?
I have the ability and the lathe but I'm not sure what "look" I will ne happy with.
I am thinking perhaps a hollow point punch with 4-6 raised ribs from the nose to the depth of the cavity established with an indexing wheel for precise layout. I am not sure how this design would release from the punch either. Perhaps a penta point?
