Thinking about building a varmint/target rifle. Im probably going to use a 722 action because the rifles are cheap and its a string action. I want to use a 40x stock because I really like that classic contour of it. I know I would need to do some inletting around the safety area. Would the bolt handle of the 722 line up correctly on the stock? Also, whats the largest barrel contour a 40x stock would take? Any help appreciated!

I think I have a 40X stock from back when they were built on 722 actions. PM me if you're interested.
