Had one setting around for years and today I finally set it up. Anyone know if those are carbide dies? Do you need to lube case's?

Yes, the size die is carbide. No lube needed

It's not required but you might try it anyway, reduces the force it takes quite a bit.

best way to tell is to look in the die.
if there is a ring right there at the bottom it's carbide or nitride.
if it's just a hole that's slightly tapered it needs lube.

SDB uses their own special dies and the resizer is carbide

Agree that a bit of lube is well worth reducing effort

I always lube anything that gets sized in a carbide die. The handle pulls oh so much easier. Plus, after a while streaks of brass and nickle will build up on the carbide ring leaving scratches on your brass. Never a problem with the cases that were lubed.

Have 2 of them, always light lube to make it easier to resize.
