Was able to pick up a 14 8 3/8" for a steal. Perfect condition. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01/08/96c7003665fc14e76839c865211f3582.jpg

You did well today!

I hope it shoots well. My 6" Model 14 has been an exceptional performer for years.

I have one of those too. I got a terrific "private deal" also and it is mint. They shoot semiwadcutters great!!

For quite a few years in the mid 90's, I bought almost every S&W .38 that came through my local shop, including a minty 8-3/8 M14 for $200. It still to this day is my poorest shooting S&W .38 :) I still have a few things to try with it, but it has always been the odd duck. It isn't horrible, but it sure hasn't been great yet either. Yours looks really good.

Nicely done! I've been looking at these at gun shows but everyone wants way too much for them. I'm envious!

Nice addition to the collection. I hope it shoots as good as it looks. I owned one of these in a smaller bbl length a while back. Sold it off for a SW 29. Don't know why but it must have felt right at the time. A classic with the target hammer, target trigger, sights etc.

That's a good looking gun and target, congrats! I may in the minority, but I've given up almost of my autos for revolvers, just can't give up my 1911's and the 2 "odd duck poly" carry guns......

I got one of them - excellent revolver. One of my most accurate handguns.

The classic Model 14 is one of those pieces that should be in everyone's collection.
