Finally got some pics of my John Gallagher converted Blackhawk wearing the stags. It was born a 3 screw 30 carbine, he converted it to 45 colt by replaceing the barrel with Douglas XX air gauged blank, line bored the chambers to .4525 added an over sized base pin and tuned the trigger to just under 2 pounds. He refinished it in a matte dark blue that looks almost black and sets off the stags I added to it nicely. I like the looks and love the way it shoots and am now thinking on haveing him do my 357 flattop. If I have it done it will become a 41 mag giveing me a flattop in 357,41, and 44. Any way here's the pics wish they had turned out better. Dennis http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2002-12/79966/DGPRW-100_0874.JPG http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2002-12/79966/YSXKN-100_0869.JPG

There's just something about a SA revolver wearing (real) stag grips! I prefer them over (real) ivory for that particular application, personally.

VERY VERY nice rig!
Classic style never goes out of fashion.

Very nice piece. I don't own any SA's, but stuff like this is starting to give me the itch...

Have you considered a Bisley conversion?

Thanks Guys I 'm glad you enjoy and appericated the ole girl. GCF the bisley never did appeal much to me looks good but I don't care as much for the way it feels in my hand. That being said I'd be more than happy to send a few down range with one of yours and let you try and convince me otherwise. ;>) Dennis

:mrgreen:That is a dandy you should proud. As far as the bisley grip frame I like mine but if I was to customize one I would lengthen the grip about a half inch or so. James

Just what I've been looking for, ever consider loaning this to me for around 20 years? HEHEHE. Very nice looking iron! Please give us a range report if you decide to shoot it?
