So, what kind of ambush is in here? what's an rkba? Got a feeling I might regret the questions.

I don't want to know what happened to the gun. It pains me to bad just looking at it and it ain't even mine.

What I want to know is two things.
1 WHAT THE CRAP did someone shoot the hog in the head with???????
I got to get one whatever it is.
2 What happened with the (looks like) lube making experiment?? We all need to know what not to do there. :Fire:

That hog sure got hit with something with a few horse power!

A .30-06 will do that if the shot goes to just the right point in the brain if loaded up with the old Sierra Game King 165 grain hollow point at ~ 3000 feet per second.

You going to cook them? If so how about posting your method? These varmits are everywhere down here, in fact some can be seen eating on the side of I-95.
Farmers almost pay you to hunt them in some countys.:Fire:

Actually, I was down in deep SW Texas on a hawg hunt. The poor hawg was walking up the road to where my blind was and was unlucky enough to see what a .444 can do. It was loaded with a healthy dose of Re7 and a Hornady 265 gr JFP. I have since switched to hard cast all the way.

Sure we eat them. Everyone in my family and extended family are bambi lovers but when I fix the venison or hawg for dinner they all show up with appetites.

On the rifle, that was a 45-70 that the owner ran a double charge of pistol powder thru by accident. Scarey stuff right there.

On the lube making...I posted that a while back with story and pics. I was using Pyrex containers and melting lube on my hotplates. Once the lube melted I turned off the hotplates and left the shop. That is what I came into the next morning. The Pyrex and steel or sumpin elements do not seem to get alongs. I now microwave.

Thanks to HollandNut for keeping us informed.:drinks:

10X it is really too easy. Take a shoulder or ham and put it in an oven bag and tie it off good to keep the moisture from escaping. Put in your favorite marinade (if you wish) along with potatos etc. Place in oven at 350 degrees for 3 1/2 to 4 hours and it will be falling off the bone tender. Just make sure the internal temp is a minimuim of 165 degrees. The secret is like the backswing in golf...cook low and slow. Bon Appetit

OK - so how many stitches did it take to put that calf back like it was?

Looks like no fun to me! I assume that the hog objected to being shot

and decided to come over and repay the favor?
