It looks like Henry will be introducing a BLR clone: https://www.shootersforum.com/showthread.php?p=865382#post865382

Saw that over there and will re-post my comment here

Sounds like a welcome addition. Love short action guns in general. Since all their guns are tube magazines with no gate, common complaint, this would be a departure for sure. Would be nice if it was not a science project to reassemble like the BLRs.

If it turns out as good as the BLR, I'd rather buy a rifle made in America instead of Japan.

Wow...Id sure like to see that. Very interesting that it mentions .223 caliber as one of the offerings...

For that price I'll stay with my BLRs.

Would be nice if they took AR magazines in .223 and .308.

Very cool, although my .308 WCF BLR has me spoiled pretty good. If extra mags are reasonably priced Henry could sell a bunch of these things. I love Browning but $75.00 for an extra 4 round mag? Really?

That's cheap! When I had a pre-81 BLR in .358 Win, I went looking for an extra mag. Was told by many sources that they are all hard to find, and "I had one last week, you shoulda been here" kinda thing, and the price was $225.00 ea!!! I sold the gun for that reason alone.

No wine, B 4 it's time .........................

The gun writer evidently has a stipulation on his pre-production testing/review, that prohibits him from showing a pic of the rifle.

I would WAG that it's upon pain of never getting another anything from HRA, for him to test.

Yes, the pre-81 mags are outrageous. Browning would make alot of money if they brought them back even at $150.00 each. Personally I think detachable mags that only hold 3 or 4 rounds and cost $$$ are completely pointless. You don't lock it in place all the way and it falls out while tromping through the woods you now have an awkward single shot. I would rather go with a fixed box mag as is found in most bolt actions. I can refill a fixed mag through the top of the action alot faster than I can remove a detachable mag, refill it while holding my rifle, and then shove it back in.
