That's was 1 of my all time favorite powders, down to my last #2.

I've shot tons of it in several different calibers including the 44spl. Hodgdon's trap 100 is the same powder and their data can be used/interchangeable with ww452. I have an old hogdgon #25 reloading book & I still use their trap 100 data to this day. PM if you want, I've send you what data I have.

What a clean, easy loading, sweet smelling, powder! I will be looking for it as Trap 100. Thanks for that info. I have used 452AA with Bullseye data for starting loads in 38 spl. and .45 ACP.

I used 5 grains of 452AA with the Saeco #441 SWC in my S&W .44 Special Hand Ejector and got 770 fps from.its 5" barrel. Not Elmer Keith velocity, but pleasant and safe for the older guns.

I still have a can of 452AA but use it in my 45 acp. It works great and meters well.

Told by a Win rep, back when they discontinued it, 452aa is the same as WST today. My load data is pretty darn close with both. You can make any powder work in any handgun round, just takes patience & some understanding of how pressures affect things like vel & case head expansion.
