Hi guys you may have read my post a couple of months back when I was debating whether to get a 219 zipper or a 25-35.

Anyway about 6 weeks ago I sent it off to one of the very few full service gunsmith left in Australia (this guy builds a variety of custom builds and makes his own barrels, contours them how you want, I asked for the heaviest octagonal barrel he could get on there and still fit the magazine tube, ended up with .915" across the flats a nice heat-sink should I want to use some jacketed projectiles rapidly. as well as not limiting his service to run of the mill rifles i.e. bolts in only five cartridge choices). Any way after its 2500 mile round trip my once 375 big bore whose barrel was have shot out and had no bluing as well as ding up stocks has been given new life (I guess it was a pure pig hunting truck gun) and it looks good. I only hope it shoots as fine as it looks! Got it back 4 days ago so I haven't loaded up or shot it yet.

I asked the smith to give me a 1:10" twist as I thought the 1:8 a bit fast for cast and I don't see the 1:10" present a problem in stabilising the 116grainer.

I have an NOE 260116 mould GC. I cast up about 1000 a month back, I plan on sizing them to .258" in the lube-a-matic and checking them. Have made up a dummy round and the throat seems rather tight, I can only achieve a overall length of 2.450 without the rifling really stopping it from chambering.

What loads would you recommend for a 25-35 with a 116 grainer for use from 25-200 yards?

I have Trailboss, Unique, H4227, H4198, H322, H4895 and Varget. No access to any Accurate or IMR powder here and limited access to Alliant powder. How fast have any of you driven the 25-35 with success?
