Shot this doe last night at about 50 yards I was tucked up under a cedar tree. She was quartering toward me for the shot bullet entered just inside the near shoulder and exited in front of the opposite hip. She went about 50 yards and dropped not much blood on this one I hit just a little higher than I wanted, plus the field she ran into was a mud pit.
Bullet was a lyman 410459 from wheel weights that I hollow point. Lubed with randy rat tac1 , 9.2 grains of unique and a cci standard primer their running right about 1200fps or just a touch under Pistol is a new model BH with an old tasco accudot.

Congrats...Good eating there.
Gotta love a 41, and I really like the 4"-5" models for all-around field carry.

nice job.
I have that same pistol and shoot pretty much that same load.
one other load I use for smaller stuff is 4 grs of titegroup under that same style 210gr lyman boolit but without its gas check.
I just got the plain base version that's just a tick heavier and will start doing some load work this summer.
i'll probably just end up at 9.3 grs of unique since the powder drop is already set there.

Congrats, sounds like you plenty of gun for the job. Nothing wrong with the 41 mag except that its always been under appreciated.

Good for you. I've wanted a .41 magnum revolver and matching lever action for a long time, but can never seem to find either except at exorbitant prices!

Thats a little leather rap to protect the on/off knob from the cylinder barrel gap blow by. On this pistol it set far enough back that it's probably not a problem. But on my smith mod 57 it sat right over the middle and over time it loosend up the knob and it went flying off and that was the end of that red dot and that recoil over time helped it along too

Very nice doe. As has been said, you have a lot of good eating there. Good job with a handgun. I have shot lots of deer with both smokless and muzzleloaders but never with a handgun. I need to work on that for next year.

Nice job. I've got several with my RH over the years along with a box car load of feral hogs using jacketed.

I finally got things going with cast early last year and haven't had a chance to try them on anything but a young coyote that managed to get hung up in a hog snare. Wasn't much of a test. I'm shooting the MP 412640's as well as a couple of others ones. Probably the GC Lyman mentioned above, and some of the MP Lite version 640's around 180'ish grains. I love how they shoot just need something besides paper to put them on.

Hopefully though I'll be trying them out soon at my friends place once the water recedes. He has plenty of hogs working his coastal pastures over and mentioned something about a meat haul soon.

I'll be sure to post up results if it comes through.

Been a 41 Mag fan for over 30 years and never been lucky enough to kill a deer with one. It's like they knew when I carried my BH hunting, deer were always 150 yards away. When carrying my rifles, I've killed them as close as 7 yards (with a Siamese Mauser 45-70....) stem to stern penetration!

None the less, good job with a great cartridge!

I have only used jacketed bullets in my .41s and am just now getting to cast. Was just too busy with .45 for a long time. Time is our most precious commodity.
