Is the hole from the 30-30 AI a Ranch Dog boolit as well?
If so, what kind of performance are you getting?

Thanks,

Dave

Jeff ran a group buy for my original TLC359-180-RF, I went on with a different design that I think Jeff and everyone else will like better. It is the TLC359-190-RF and will be available later this year.

I'm not going to do "buys" anymore. Too much to track and keep up with. I've been able to develop this business enough that if a bullet works, I can go ahead and just order it as inventory and then it is done.

Thanks for the report Jeff!

I use 35 caliber boolits in my L frame, Contender is 357 Max and 35 Remington, as well as in Marlin 336 in 35 Remington.

I have used Michaels 45 caliber in my Marlin in 45-70 and the 44 boolits in my Contender. These have taken many Coyotes and G' Hogs around my place. I can do all of the paper punching at great ranges, but for me the real test is in hunting moving targets. I am waiting for the 30 caliber boolit molds for my Marlin 336 in 30-30. This time next month, I should have many of the TLC311-165-RF cast and loaded.

The G' Hogs will never go away around here, but I am cleaning out the thickets on my land, so maybe the Coyotes will only cross through, instead of nesting here.

Now all I need to find is a good snake charmer load and gun for the Copperheads that are few and far a part on my land, but I have seen 3 in the last 2 years. I don't want to step on one.

Michael since your from Texas, any ideas for a bullet for rattlers?

Miestro Jerry---I aint Michael but I am from Texas and do have some rattler experience. With a headshot they are easy to kill. I killed one with a .177 c02 powered pellet pistol. I have killed them with a much more powerful 5mm(20 cal) pump up air rifle. I have a cheapie Daisy bb gun and it works too. My bro and my dad and I once gassed a den and got 12 out originally and we were using a .22 rimfire Colt Woodsman pistol. Again this was head shots. Later there was #13 outside the den and I noosed him and bro chopped his head off with a hatchet. But my choice for rattlers would be a shotgun as this is close range shooting.

I've killed a bunch with a garden hoe or shovel. The place I had to just to the west of my present location had a bunch of them, I killed them just about anyway you could think of. Most of the time it was with what ever I had handy (sounds like Carpetman's experience).

My present place has few if any... too many hogs!

Below is feeding time at the Ranch Dog Zoo, I've seen them find a snake and eat it. Suck it up like a noodle!

Speaking of snakes (I'm sensing a thread hijack here).

My mother-in-law abhors snakes. You hear tell of the "fight or flight" response. She goes into full on fight mode.

Years ago, we were up visiting them when she caught a blacksnake slithering into their garage. She grabbed up a garden hoe and started to chop that snake into snake McNuggets!

By the time she was done with it, I don't think there was a piece longer than 3" left.

MY birthday is in October; maybe the mould will be here for THE BIG 60!

Those d--- hogs will eat 'most anything! My neighbor used to shoot rats around the corn crib with a 22 and drink beer while watching the hogs fight over them. They'd kill and eat a rabbit or squirrel...or cat or small dog or a down and crippled animal in a heart beat! He quit after someone pointed out that a crippled up old man (HIM!) wouldn't be too big a step up for a dozen big old sows; that walking through the hog lot might be a dangerous experience at best.

A long time ago, the Boy Scout camp used to fence the camp sites with a hot wire in the spring and turn hogs in to knock down the brush a little...and clean out the snakes. It worked pretty well evidently. There were snakes aplenty in the hills and brush, but you didn't see any where the hogs had been.
