Well the new Accurate Molds 36-140B sized to .360 in .357 brass at 1.55 coal worked like a dream its a LRNFP, cycles perfectly and no leading :) previously I tried .358/.359 but the .360 is best for no leading. My alloy is 13 BHN.

I ran 100 rounds at 7.5grs of AA #5, 44 shots over the chrony showed 1349 fps, 14 SD 69 ES(not bad for such a large sample size)

I also ran about 60 rounds of 5.5grs SR-4756, 1038 fps, 21 SD, 92 ES,(40 shots), very light charge probably why the ES is tad high.

So mission successful, prefect cycling and no leading, next up will be checking for accuracy, I've added a Skinner peep sight so looking forward to putting it to work.

That happens to be one of my favorite loads in my Marlin 1894. I load 7.5 gr of A #5 under a 180 gr WFN from NOE and a 160 gr SWC plain base. Both are sized to .360". Accuracy is outstanding. I also load 8.2 gr of A #7 and 5.2 gr of Bullseye.

If I keep the plain base bullets at 1300-1400 fps I get no leading and terrific accuracy.

Good job with your Henry. I really like their products. I'm looking for a 30-30 and I might spring for a Henry over a used Marlin.

My steel frame Henry .357 had a .359 throat and .355 groove. I had throat lead till I sized .359.

10mmShooter please let me know how you like the skinner sights. I picked up a steel Big Boy a few months ago and I was thinking about getting the rear peep sight for mine.

Well, 10mmShooter, you just made a sale for Tom at Accurate Molds LLC! I, too have a Henry -- I have the brass big-boy .357 version, and the only thing I don't love about it is it's weight. But, if one believes firearm weight and perceived recoil are inversely proportional -- it's worth the extra pound or two. Anyhoos... THANKS! One more mould to use and hopefully perfect!
BEST!

George,
Yeah my Accurate Molds seem to be multiplying, I started out with a brass mold for my .44 Henry, and then one for my .357 Henry, the biggest advantage of Toms molds is the custom size options, such as .432 and .360. I want to get Tom to make me a mold for my .41 mag and 10mm next.
