Rcbs x-die ?

I'm currently using X-DIEs for .308 Win and 30-06 but haven't gotten enough cycles on my brass yet to answer this question and I'm simply impatient.

When set up according to the instructions (trimming etc.) What is the maximum length that your X-DIE is letting the brass grow to ????

I trim my 308W brass to 2.006 before running through X-die. I have gotten 16 reloadings and my brass length averages 2.011 inches. Your mileage will vary, depending on how you adjusted your particular die.

Thanks. I did my set up and trimming according the instructions.

The instructions have you do initial trimming to .010 under "normal" trim length. Then you set the X feature off of one of those casings. Which in fact judging by your reply makes perfect sense because your brass was able to go from 2.006 up to 2.011 which should mean mine will probably get back up close to normal trim length of 2.005"
