what is the amount antimoney in ww? if i make shot from stright ww will it be as hard as factory magmun shot? i have always thought it was as hard. thanks

Wheelweights are usually in the vicinity of 2-4% antimony. Glenn Fryxell's article about casting alloys says magnum shot are in the 4% range IIRC.

ww's are supposed to @ 4% but the newer ones seem to be more like 3%
the old lawrence brand and remington shot were5%
the smaller sizes of MAGNUM shot9-71/2 were about 8%
7&6 were about 6% larger were @5%. dont forget the arsenic in shot you can
add to pure and heat treat, save some shot.
