Has anybody used the NOE 6.5 134 gr bullet in the Swedish mauser?
If so, how did it shoot and what was the best load that worked well?
Thanks for any info....

I am using it in my swede M96. Gas checked with Alox lube using around 6 grains of 700x. Shoots well enough while I dial in the load my rifle likes.

For real world comparative purposes we need at least 50 yd 5 shot group sizes.

~Well enough~ fits no known definition that I understand (and probably a few others).

And.... 6 grs 700X has got to barely make it out of a 29" barrel!!

We need statistics, charts, graphs, video, witness deposition and last but not least..... PHOTOS!

I shoot our military bolt silhouette match with my Swede and that boolit over 14 gr 2400. Does well knocking over the 200 yard rams so long as I don't hit them low in the belly...

How deep do you have to seat the bullet? I have to seat it really deep
which I don't like to do. Gas check ends up below the neck.

I wanted to order a GC version of this mold during the "end of the year" sale. But all were out of stock. NOE has them on the "to do" list, in the next month or two. I asked several folks who have this mold (.268 version), what size boolit drops...and got no answer due to them not casting with the mold yet I'm hoping for a solid .2685 or larger with normal practices using 94-3-3.

ANYWAY, anyone reading this, have you cast with this mold (.268 version). Wha-cha-get?

JonB...I bought this mold in .270 dia so I could use it in my Carcano's too.
With wheel weight alloy, they drop at exactly .270... can't ask for any better
than that.

The Mold arrived yesterday. It was 'just cut', so it's part of a new batch...or maybe because it's brass? ...BUT, It casts larger than I hoped for, But should be OK. A Gator GC is very difficult to install with finger pressure, but it does 'press' on good & tight and doesn't 'shear' any alloy ...and it's easily enough with a lubesizer and GC seater.

The boolit bands near the base measure .2705 when cast in COWW(I was hoping for .269)
BUT, the Nose measures .2680 and the top band measures .2690 ...which should be the cat's meow for my rifle's throat (old Jap 38 custom 257Rx6.5).

I seasoned the mold a few times and she started out casting like an old pro.
