Here are my Dad and his buddy Clyde holding two turkes I killed with one shot today. The gun (on Clyde's lap) is an 1880's original doouble gun choked ful and ful and shooting brass cases with mixed shot (floor sweepings) The load is 80 Grains of FFG in the brass case and an over powder wad, cushion wad and a charge of 1 1/4 oz of shot. All this is held in place with a smear of bathtub caulk. The load will put 10-15 shot in the head at 30 yards and these were taken at 20. The turkeys were squared off and when One held his head up I shot, but the pattern opened enough that it woounded the other bird and I had to finish him with a pocket knife.
