I read earlier somewhere on this board about using a flat-headed bolt as a top punch for Keith and WFN profile boolits. I'd like to do this with my Lyman 4500 sizer. Can someone tell me the diameter on the shaft of the top punch for the Lyman 4500? That way I can pick up a bolt that diameter and make it work to my needs. If you all think I'm crazy, let me know that too. :)

I use 1/4" bolts. If they have the hardness marks on top, just grind em off.

Thanks VTDW! I don't have the sizer here at home this weekend, it's over at school. I'll pick up a bolt and smooth it up for the top punch.
Thanks again,

Selmerfan, make several and turn the flats down to under 30, 35 and 44 cal. Unless you go with a really soft alloy 35 is probably OK for 44 & 45 but the bolts are cheap. Gianni
