I'm sure this has been asked before but bear with an old Veteran if you would. I had two bottles of the stuff from 2005 and I'm about out.
The old instructions sheet only has his email address and it doesn't work.

"Teach me Cast Boolits....teach me".

Thanks to all for help and Merry Christmas to you,

Will,

I'm not sure how to contact Bullplate any longer. Hopefully, someone can come along and help you out with that. If you don't manage to contact them, then here is a link to another product that is basically the same thing.

http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?products_id=726&osCsid=l7qo33cmaspg3cchm5m1v17hg2

I have several bottle of NOE's Sprue Plate Lube and it works the same as Bullplate.

Good luck,

Murphy

No, this is the Cast Boolits forum, where people USED to be polite and use good form. I see that is long gone.

Google up Bullshop bullet lube. They have a small website. Just got another couple of pounds of their excellent NASA lube a month or so ago.

Can't say it is the same as Bull Plate and for trying to guess what it is good luck. I know it works very good, is proven to work great! and yes you can use it to make speed green or very similar.

I try to promote all I can on this Cast Boolit web site. This place has given to me a great deal of information, enjoyment and opportunity. My standard way to post is; Step back, read twice, breathe and relax before I get critical. I had to learn that with 4 kids and 6 grand kids..I still insert my foot in my mouth and i ain't very flexible anymore.

Not saying a thing about Randy, his stuff (what I've used) is first rate. OP was asking a specific question about how to locate Bullplate. Simple question that didn't require a diatribe concerning the person that makes the product.

Look at it this way...... You owned a building, you rented it out to a shop keeper and he sells Model Xs and someone comes along and sets up shop on the front porch for free and is selling Model Xs..... Your rent paying shop keeper says; why am I paying rent.
I'm not saying anything bad about Dan and Bullshop but he ain't paying rent here.

If you PM'ed me I would give you Dan's email if i had it, heck his products are almost as good as mine. Dan if you read this send me your email.

actually Bullshop wasn't banned, he asked to be removed from the site's roll's.
it was his choice.

if y'all gotta keep up the diatribe i'll just close the thread.

kind of different when the landowner bans Dan .. he can't pay rent/squat on the porch or sell here at all..
don't know the details , don't want to know the details, just keep myself out of trouble

All this discourse and all the OP wanted to know was Dan's address. Bullplate is excellent product!

If you want to contact him here is his email address.
bullshop@3rivers.net (bullshop@3rivers.net)

Please do not speculate why he isn't here. it doesn't matter.

For the record, I use synthetic 2 cycle oil for my sprue plate needs.
works great on my automated master caster.

I am not sure what is in bullplate lube. I always suspected it was synthetic 2 cycle oil that was heated up and filtered.
Anyway Good luck casting

Quite a few posts back Don McDowell said to Google 'Bullshop lube'. Doing that finds everything a person needs.

Well boys, all I can say is thank you Murphy. Yours was an answer.

I hope the others can settle. Lucky it's not 150 years ago cause a rope might be involved.

I have it on good authority from one of the old timers that left the forum that bull plate is amsoil 100 to 1 synthetic 2 stroke oil, nothing more. Simply bought by the drum and repackaged. They do sell smaller quantities at boating supply places

So, do I understand you to say that Bullplate is 100 parts Amsoil something-or-other to 1 part two-stroke oil? What particular Amsoil product is used?

Or, could it be a product that Amsoil packages: "Outboard 100:1 Pre-Mix Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil." See:

https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/2-stroke/outboard-100-1-pre-mix-synthetic-2-stroke-oil/

Is that it?

Because you brought that up I must defend my product I call ZIP LUBE.. ZIP LUBE is NOT the same as BULL PLATE.

According to SDS sheets:

"Outboard 100:1 Pre-Mix Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil =Is Hazardous

ZIPE LUBE is none Hazardous

I just recently ordered a bottle of bullshop sprue lube, I emailed them and got a reasonably quick response, I sent a money order and received the product about a week later, I'm happy

Would an anti-seize compound work as a good lube for sprue screws and mould pins/guides. I'm talking automotive anti-seize compound.

I would be afraid of that thick of a material would be too hard to put on a extremely small amount
And too much would migrate into the cavities causing an unholy mess

It works good on the sprue plate screws and pins, but not on the mold face, I use it.. I also use it on breach plug threads for muzzle loaders.
