I purchased a Lone Wolf 10 mm barrel for use in a Glock 20. I shoot only cast boolits in a Glock 23 OEM barrel, but wanted to compare the difference between the 10 mm OEM and a Lone Wolf for the model 20. Was surprised to see the difference in the diameter of slugs I pushed down each barrel. The Glock OEM barrel measured .400 (two slugs, micrometer measurement). The Lone Wolf was .4025. Both the pistol and extra barrel are brand new, so I hesitate to put any use on the LW if I have it replaced. Does the .4025 measurement make sense for a new barrel? Thanks

Groo here
The difference maybe due to the different rifling.
Measure again taking this into account.

The LW barrel is oversized by a good bit. I would return it.

Hmm. Just bought a Lone Wolf barrel for my Glock Model 40. Guess I had better slug it too.

I have not slugged mine but I have shot many hundreds of rounds of cast dropped from my Mihec mold and they shot very well without leading issues.

Lone Wolf has agreed to send a replacement barrel. I am going to slug the new one immediately. I slugged the first one after noticing terrible groups consistently with a variety of powders and loads.

I have had good luck with my lone wolf barrel for my G35 and G17. Did not slug them but they work well with .401 and .358

I sent the Lone Wolf barrel back after they gave me a return number. I received an email today stating..."Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with a barrel that measures .400, as the one you returned is our standard stock size..". I told them to credit me for the .4025" barrel. I don't need a $90 tube that sprays .401" boolits in a 3" pattern at 15 yards. Wow.

lw being the low dollar barrel option is the lowest common denominator. .402... is oversized period! if you dont wanna roll the dice pony up and buy a KKM or Jarvis.

I believe this issue is close to resolution. After I emailed them that I was contacting the credit card company, their armorer called and apologized for the Customer Service people. He is a re-loader, and understood exactly what my complaint was. He had slugged the barrel in question and agreed with me. He is sending one that he checked at .4005". I will for sure slug the new barrel as soon as the packaging drops to the floor. The armorer said the CS people know zilch about fire arms, and thought that I was confused , i.e. I really wanted a 9mm barrel and sent the 10 mm back.

Got a replacement barrel from Lone Wolf which is at spec for groove diameter. Compared six combinations of Factory and my reloaded (Sierra jacketed) ammo from both the Glock and the LW barrel. The LW barrel definitely shoots much tighter groups, with the exception of Armscor 180 grain FMJ. Now setting up some cast boolit loads to try. The company did make good on insuring I had a correct barrel.

Ok, you glockster people. Q: I have a Model 21 slide, Can I just put a 10mm barrel into it? (I already have some 10mm mags, I was given them).

Glock 21----> Glock 20: KKM had a kit out and has since stqopped offerring it due to reliability problems I believe. The extractor needs to be changed out. Also note that the slide is lightenend on when comparing a G 21 to G21 slide. I looked at this option for a friend and recommended it would be better in the longgrun to go with a factory G20 upper. Google g21 to g20 should bring some discussion up.

I have done most of what GRT45 did with the g30.

Ok, thanks for the info. Looks like the best way to go is just get a Glock 20 slide & barrel.
