I found a Lyman 454424 which I use. I am very fortunate to have found it and am able to use it instead of the 452424. My mold is a 2 cavity.

If it's going to be a Keith then NOE has a few good ones in a few different weights and can be had in a solid or some in hollow point versions. The bad part is, currently NOE doesn't have many made in these Keiths

There are different mold configurations of course.

This is the one I use, shoots great in my Flattop ruger. The drop around 265-270 grains from my range scrap lead.

454424 is indeed a classic but I've been very fond of the "modified" Keith 45-270-SAA.

Many thanks, this is for a Ruger BlackHawk Bisley, anyone have experience with which diameter works best in these in 45 long colt?

A Lyman 452424 sized .452" works fine in my original 5½" Vaquero.

Regards to sizing diameter, a great deal depends on the diameter of your cylinder throats. Ruger 45 Colt cylinders are notorious for having undersized cylinder throats which makes it difficult to shoot cast boolits. I reamed the cylinder throats on both of my Ruger 45 Colt revolvers to .4525. IIRC the Bisley's throats were .4495-.4500" and the New Model Flattop convertible had consistent .4500 throats in both the 45 Colt and 45 ACP cylinders.

My Ruger shot the RCBS 270 SAA better than any other mold I have.

Another vote for the RCBS 45-270SAA bullet, it shoots accurately in every 45 caliber pistol I own.

I had some issues with my Ruger .45 BHK .. I mentioned the cylinder problem. They replaced it... with .452" throats and each chamber was the same. The rear end of the cylinder has a 3/4" taper that is evident when you look through it. If I resize brass with a TC sizer die the cases are a bit loose...I now use a RCBS steel sizer die. It shoots any cast bullet that I've tried very accurately...Lee, RCBS, & Lyman. Hard to beat the 452424..but Lees 252 SWC and 255 RF are very accurate in it now. Also have an old discontinued Lee 235 WC mold...they are fantastically accurate in it.

Ditto. BUT the bullet diamter MUST be matched to the gun. I have 3 SAA clones and more Rugers. I have tested lots of bullets. In order to not have leading the first step is measuring the cylinder tbraots and using tje right diameter bullet. Not a big problem since .454" dropped bullets are easily sized to .452"
