I made a post in the Muzzle Loading section of the forum here covering the latest on my keyhole issue. I cast a bunch of BACO Creedmoor 540 grain grease groove bullets and also Pedersoli 520 rain flat nose bullets and Monday I tried them out with no sizing or such. The results of the hardness of these is 8 with my Lee hardness tester and it appears they work much better (batch before this was a hardness of 14). Next will be a recast of the paper patch bullets I have with the pure lead idea to see how they work.

One issue you may have is the 14 bhn could be hard enough to not reliably obtrate on firing to fully engrave the rifling. Most muzzleloader use pure lead or pure with a very small amount of tin to aid fill out. Even the black powder cartridge shooters using bore riding PP bullets run around 30-1 down to around 10-1 lead tin.

In my older BPCR's I run from 20-1(b ~10), 30-1(b ~9), and 40-1(b ~8.5) and pure lead(b ~5) in my muzzleloaders.
