took the new ruger mark III on a shake down cruise last night ... wow, what a pistol! love the burris ff3 reflex sight, too!

They are fantastic bang for your buck .22s. I've owned several MK3s and my favorite was the Hunter model. With that 7" barrel subsonic loads are easy on the ears.

One of those is definitely on my want list, right near the top just under the 4" Colt Woodsman Match Target that will forever just be a dream for me.

And here I am stuck with 2 old MKI T 678 Rugers that just keep shooting like they are supposed to. How am I ever going to convince SWMBO that I need one of these new fancy Rugers if these two old war horses won't cooperate by malfunctioning at least once. Or maybe one could throw a round some day or maybe fail to fire from twenty years of not being cleaned. But no, they just keep on keeping on. It isn't fair.

Do you have a BIL or friend that doesnt return stuff? You could claim to have leant it to that n'er-do-well
