What Ar mag is everyone using with the Lee 309 230 boolit in 300 blackout? I can get USGI, Lancer, Pmags. I have New Zealand made polymer Spear Mags but they bind the same as I've read that Pmags do.

What length are you loading to? May need to adjust OAL to find the sweet spot for dependability or, you may need to file the ribs down on the interior of the mags. That usually seems to help most times.

I load a very similar bullet from an old ACE group buy. I haven't had any troubles in any of the mags I've tried. I do tend to use 20 rounders for the 300blk though.

Lancers work pretty darn well.

OAL is 2.245" crimped in the crimp groove. I've also heard good things about lancer mags with 300 blk.

Wideners has an "official" 300 BO mag, it is different and works well. :) only in 30 rnds though.

I load them at 2.230" in 20 round Pmags with the ribs filed. these are PC'd or HiTek coated.

Thank sounds like I should order more mags and get the file out.

I've not had much luck with pmags with heavy weights, I have several lancers, they have worked flawlessly.

Wilson Tactical sells modified Lancer mags. Or you an get the D&H 300 Blackout mag. Believe I'd go with a ten round Lancer. 30 round mag full of 208gr A-Max is a handful.
I have several of the D&H standard 223 mags in 30 and 20 round. I think they are the best AR magazines you can buy.

Wideners has these 300 BO mags for $12.95 U.S.

I've heard the Gen 3 pmags work without altering the ribs.

I've heard the Gen 3 pmags work without altering the ribs.

Don't know how that would be. I just popped the top off one of my Gen M3 Pmags. Ribs are snug against the loaded 5.56mm necks.

my gen 2 30 rd mag works fine, at least with the few boolits I have tried.

can get the 20rd PMAGS to cycle fine, but the 30rd PMAGs give me fits if I have over three rds in it. 20 rd GI's also work fine but are getting harder to come by.

No trouble with Magpul Gen. III p-mag, 10 rd.

You can get the lancers, standard and file them. Pmag (II) forward lip is formed (angled) more, lancers are pretty square there. Lancers don't have as good an anti-tilt follower - not interchangeable.

My experience has been that D&H 300 BLK specific mags work great with 247 NOE and I imagine any other cast bullet you want to stuff in them.
