Cast Boolits member and the best friend I had passed away last night, while in the VA Hospital in Houston. John Hayslip, served in the Marine Corps as both an enlisted man and an officer, and was a fellow retired teacher. But most of all he was the kindest gentleman you could ever wish to meet. He was my go-to source of information when it came to casting, reloading, and shooting. His was a true wealth of knowledge, and he shared it freely with others. I know that he has now been made whole and free from the ravages of Agent Orange that have plagued him these past years and now dwells in the house of our Lord. Please remember his wife Claudia, children and grandchildren in your prayers.

His passing leaves a giant hole in my heart and I will never forget him.

Johns Son sent Me this information last night. To all our friends and family,

We hope you have learned by now that we lost our Dad Saturday morning. We are convening for his Celebration of Life service to be held:

Thursday December 17th at 3:30 PM
at First United Methodist Church
611 W South St
Alvin, TX 77511

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church music program or the Wounded Warrior Project.

If you could respond to this email with any funny stories or good memories you have of Dad, we would really appreciate it. We could probably use these by Wednesday noon if you can. These can be used to relay some thoughts on what a good, generous man he was at the service.

Thank you,

Claudia, Matt and Vickie Hayslip
