I bought a really nice near new condition, Savage 101 single action single shot yesterday.
I bought one of these when I was about 23 or 24 back in the mid 1960's. It was all I could afford at that time. I think I paid about $15.00 dollars brand new. It was a good little starter pistol for someone who thought he was Wild Bill Hickok. Yes I decided to do some fast draw stuff, after some dry fire practice. I thought it was time for some live ammo fast draw shooting, well after about 10 tries I ended up shooting myself in the leg. The damage wasn't to bad a few stitches and I was good as new, and there was no more live fire sessions. I finally got over the fast draw carze. I sold that little pistol a few weeks later for $10.00. Well it's been fifty or so years since that incident and I found another one, I gave $50.00 for it and I can assure you that I,m not going to regress to my child hood. I think I got a really good deal on it as I see on line that they are going for $200.00 plus.
