Using an old Lee 40 cal mold. Seems good so far. 280gr 0.501 projectiles (50AE use).

Looks well done. What machine did you use? I have been pondering the same path.

That was done on a small converted CNC milling machine using a 6mm bull nose cutter (given the existing cavities were present). I gave it a polish and the projectiles simply fall out when the mold is opened.

I have converted a manual mill (G0704) to CNC. I will give mold creation a go next year.

Nice work.......Always great when a plan comes together!.......How consistant was the weight between bullets?

Could this bullet be used in the 50gi round as well?..... I was looking at one of Guncrafters 50 gi 1911 but got scared off by the price.

you know GI makes a glock 21 conversion if price is an issue. Be aware that GI are among the very best in 1911 manufacture, buy with confidence. And this bullet seems about ideal.

I have been looking for a 50gi cast bullet example but they are hard to find. I don't have a gun chambered in 50gi yet.....i may have to make my own if I ever get a proper handgun.
