I recently Picked up this large tumbler . The guy who I purchased from said He was Tumbling appox 100 50 cal bmg with dry media. the size overall is appox 24Wx 30 Lx 42 H
The drum is appox 15 across x 12 '. he said it was Over 4 Gal.
not having any Large quantity of Brass . except. , I loaded the drum with appox 3/4 of a 5 Gal bucket of 38 special and media. this machine tumbled it without a hitch. Ran 24 HR. and all Polished OK.
motor I think is 1/3 - 1/2 Gear driven with Heavy Cogged belt
any one familiar with These In this size
I have a small In appox 3 Lb.
Don't Know if I going to Keep it . , weight is appox 60 lb's. Also has a lever Like a Cement Mixer to Dump

Without knowing what you paid, that is a pretty good work horse. That said, Harbor Freight sells a cement mixer for right at $200.00 on sale that has wheels and a tilt handle with all steel components. If I needed a big volume, the HF is what I would go with. A big bonus is you can use it to make patios and walk ways when you're not tumbling brass.

yes harbor Freight sells Mixer For about $200.00. the motors are Of Non Continuose Use. They will do a Good job for a time. No reputable Contractor . would be Caught dead Using There stuff.

I built a very simple one with a $35 gear motor from eBay. Uses two 100 lb 12.7 gallon buckets. One is permanently mounted the other nests inside, keep me from having to dump the entire contraption.

Built some really big ones for a local company they put 15 gallons of brass in each drum. They have a gantry crane to load/unload them.

That set up looks Great. Too bid for me . and looks sort of Massive. I guess That's the way to go For a professional commercial Business. Both Photo are in The Oblique style
