I found something I have wanted for a long time today.

probably payed too much , but it's the first I've seen for sale "in person" in a long while!
Will go well with the NOE RCBS clone that's in the mail and the WC group buy! That's a 327Fed beside it and they have a 4 inch M31 to keep them company too! Love those 32s :)

Does anyone have scans from the old RCBS manual with the 32HR loads they would be willing to share. I have lots of manuals but never bought that one!

Just pin gaged the cyl, it's .311 all the way around. Is that normal for these guns? Gonna slug the bore in the morning, may be headed to Dougguy!

Where in the cylinder? It's supposed to be a .312 boolit/bullet.

Opps sorry, make that throats. My 327 is .313 and the Smith 32L is 314, so was hoping for similar. Will be fine if bore checks out at 311 too.

My single Six is on the snug side too. I had excellent accuracy sizing the RCBS to .312", (best of .6" at 25 yards), but recently picked up a .311" sizer to see if I can make it better :)

I have the .32 H&R Magnum loading book. Any specific powders or bullets you plan to use? I have the same gun with a slightly longer barrel (5-1/2" or 6"). I normally use RCBS 32-098 bullets in it to match factory loads. That particular gun will handle much heavier loads than factory. I use 2400 powder and an 85gr Hornady XTP for the heavy loads. They would likely destroy any other .32 Magnum handgun I own. I have also tried 311008, 311316, Hornady 100gr XTP, and an unidentified hollow-point 32-20 bullet in it. It shoots all of them well.

That is normal. I size my cast at .312 for my Ruger SS .32 H&R.

High Standard;
I would like to thank you for the image of the RCBS loading manual. My NOE bullet mold should arrive today. Somewhere, somewhere, I have that manual but could NOT find it. It would be nice if they also had a page on the 100 gr. full wadcutter (hint, hint:rolleyes:).

I shall make use of that, for sure.

This is the only page for 32 H&R in my particular RCBS Manual. My book is a "First printing 1986" copy.

Harry O , thanks, I have bullseye,231,HS6,longshot, all the dots and unique. Trying to work with 231 at the moment. 314316,311008, 98RCBS (noe version) and a Lee 93 that will size for this gun, and a Mihec wc coming. Like you I am quite happy with factory equilivant if the accuracy is there. No way to make a 32 into a bear gun and 32L is a fine bunny gun!

Larry Gibson, Thanks for that info, I was concerned since my bore showed .312, If it's not broke it dosen't need fixin!

High Standard 40, thanks a bunch for the scan, just what I needed! Like Dale53, if a WC page showed up,by chance,I would be inordinately thrilled (Got the Mihec WC comin too) Again, thanks so much!

I use HS-6 for my factory duplication loads. It is as accurate as Unique in this caliber and is much easier to meter. I use 4.5gr of HS-6 with an RCBS 32-098 to pretty much match the factory lead load (it is a little bit under, but it is very accurate, so I stayed there).

I also use 5.6gr of HS-6 with a Hornady 85gr XTP to match the factory jacketed load. I have a lot of factory seconds from the Hornady factory, so it is pretty cheap for me to use them. After sorting them out, I usually end up with 90 to 95 good bullets for half the regular cost. I also use a much heavier load of 2400 and the XTP, but there is no need for that other than to say "it can be done". Very accurate, though, even pushed that hard.

I use 0.312" sized bullets for the Ruger, my S&W's, and an old Colt. My H&R's require 0.314" to get any kind of accuracy at all.

Harry O, thanks. I been playing with 231 for the same reason, it meters well as opposed to Red dot. I keep lots of HS6 for my 28s. I see your load is on the start edge of the RCBS data so looks like where I start. Hope the mold shows up tomorrow !!!!

There has been a .32 H&R Magnum Single Six birdshead for sale locally for a few months now. The price isn't bad, but after the BH purchase, can't justify it.

After seeing this pistol though, it sure is tempting. No adjustable sights, but that isn't necessarily a deal breaker.

Nice shooter you found!

My single six slugs at .3115"-.3117". Bore is .312" Accuracy is great so I have never messed with the slightly smaller throats. I changed the grips to one that fits my hand sand really reduced group size.

Wow, thanks, rechecked mine this morning and it's still .311 throats and .312 bore. Now it shoots VERY well and no leading! I should have bought one when I was first tempted in 85, would have had more time to enjoy it! Shooting 3.2 of 231 with 94 gr Meisters , my NOE 103 is under the tree for now. The sights are right fuzzy but I was conistently hitting small rocks at 50 yards today. I shot it better than my 36-6 3inch, I am a happy camper. I did not like the white grips at first but they are growing on me and they do fit well. Corian material I think, no makers nark that I can find, but they are a little wider than stock and feel good. Now for a "silver dollar" to fit it!
Has been nice to move the sights to the load with a screwdriver for a change. I made a new blade for the SP101 because it shot most everything 6 to 8 inches hi at 20 yards. Today I just twisted a little slotted screw and presto, right where I looked is wher it shoots. Nice idea those adjustable sights :)
