Hi.Need some info ,I am getting a 300BK 16" pistol lenght gas port ,unsuppressed my idea would be to load with a 205gr gc sized at .311,cannot find loads for this weight boolit . This boolit is originally a Lyman .314 that i am using for my Argie carbine.Do you think I can make it work or better stay with the Lee .312- 160 gr sized .311?Also I am making my own brass from converted LC 223.
I appreciate any suggestion you can forward my way.
Danny.

Depends on what you are trying to achieve. Sub or super? What alloy? Either way, I'd slug the barrel before you decide to size to .311. That's pretty big.

Unsuppressed it would make little difference noise wise if it was subsonic or supersonic. For subs with the 205 start at about 11gr of h110/296/Lil gun.or 12gr of 4227 or reloader 7 and work down

I don't have any load data but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

300 BLK can use a huge variety of 30 caliber bullets. Whether it feeds them and the rifling stabilizes them or not is a different story, of course.

You should be able to load these either sub or super for you 300 blkout AR.
I have a noe 247 hp running 1425 fps out of a Noveski 10.2" with YHM suppressor.
It's a hammer on the deers end and light as a feather on mine.
Doe I shot this year left a blood squirt about 2 ft.
Looked like you took a paint brush to the ground. She went nowhere. DRT
When I can today I will send you a couple loads
Know I have at least one for a Lyman 202 grn.

Thanks,I am waiting on UPS to deliver my upper today. I will slug my barrel and to answer an other question ,the only thing i am after is an accurate cast load that will function the AR ,and then see where we can go from there.

.311 may be too fat to allow the loaded round to chamber. Loading for the blackout is a lot more finicky than loading for the 7.65 Arg. particularly if you are making your own brass. I'm not saying you aren't up to the task, just that it is a learning experience and there are a lot of potential issues you might encounter. That said, it is a lot of fun.
