Here is a mold that Buckshot HP'd for me recently. These are some very accurate bullets out of my Mod 700 stainless, Flutted, VSSF, .223 Rem. The weather was nice here today, 66 degrees, thought I'd get outside and cast about 300 ea. Lyman 225415 HP's.

Are you getting good accuracy out of the 225462HP? I have one but it won't shoot as good as the 415HP or the RCBS 22-55-SP HP. That's in the .223. Guess I need to try it in the .222. May be atack driver in that./beagle

I am using a 788Rem. 222. I haven't used 225462 all that much so I can't say much about the accuracy. It is good enough to head shoot grey squirrels at 100 yds.

My main boolit for the 222 is 225415.Can't complain about the way that one shoots.
I don't have it in a HP yet. I have a single cav set back to send to Buckshot when I get time......Terry

Sounds like you've got yourself a pretty accurate rifle with that Rem 788, 222 Rem. I'm a big fan of the 788, I've never seen one that didn't shoot well.

Rick has always done a good job HP'ing the many molds that I've sent him. I think he is # 1 in this arena.

Best,

Ben

Thanks I've been waiting on my Bator mould since 11/07 and the new projected date of release is 07/08 for it.

Since then I bought a CZ 527 American in 22 hornet that doesnt like anything higher then 50gr bullets. Looking at a better mould for it and my 22-250 for ground squirrles.

A fellow board member sent me a batch of Lee 22 Bator bullets he cast. I sized them and gas checked them in a .224" die and lubed them with Zambini.

Made a trip out to the range yesterday, and packed my Ruger 77/22 Hornet along for the trip. The weather wasn't too nice, so I set the target out at 50 yards and fired some test groups. 4.5 gr of Blue Dot delivered the worst accuracy, 8.0 of 4227 was an improvement, but nothing great. 2.6 gr. of Trail Boss was the slowest load tested, the bullet was stable and punched a 5/8" 3 shot group. The best load was 6.0 grains of 2400, which delivered a tight 3/8" cluster at 50 yards.
