In Calif. this is like winning the lottery to find 2 Dan Wesson Super Mags for sale.
these cant be shipped in unless you are law enforcement so the only way for a civilian to get one is for someone that has had them before they passed the law and do a person to person deal.
Monday I will have a 357 SM and a 375 SM to go along side my 445 SM and 44 mag pistol PAC and CBOB.
have to trade my DW PM7 and some cash but it's worth it for this pair.
found a bunch of brass already for both now have to find a couple heavy cast boolit molds that will shoot accurately.
looking at the Lee 250 gr for the 375, not sure on the 357 but looking for something around 200-220 gr.
Any suggestions?

I can't help you with the DW 375 SuperMag, but I used to shoot a DW 357 SuperMag in IHMSA competition.

I had fantastic results with a gas-checked 220 grain LBT WLN using 18.0 grains of AA9 and LBT Blue lube. I cast at 650 degrees, alloy was water dropped COWW. I got 1.75" 5-shot groups at 100 yards repeatably once I figured out which chamber shot a little off the point of impact of the other 5. Velocity was a hair over 1500 FPS. I tried a bunch of lubes and that's the only one that would let me push that slug that fast--everything other lube I tried resulted in flattened or blown primers.

I still have the mold if you want some slugs from it to try out.

I am following a similar path. I shot and still have my DW 357 that I competed silhouette with back in the 80s. I was shooting a RCBS 200 gn FPGC that did very well out of it. Also no flame cutting issues with the heavy bullet and never used the spare barrel yet. As far as powder, 4227 always grouped the best and never had a temp issue at matches. I am in the process of buying a 375 SM and I am looking for bullet molds. I have a RCBS 250 grainer but I was afraid it may be too long.

I just bought the rcbs 250 for my 375sm, should have plenty of clearance seated into the crimp groove.
am thinking of making a GB mold for this one and the 357sm after I play around with them for a little while.
I shot silhouette in the 80s over in Hawaii, was stationed at Kbay, only had my DW 44 mag and a S&W 686 back then, still have both.
I'm thinking about a wide flat point TC style boolit around 230-270gr GC to push it hard with deep crimp groove to hold it in place since it will be about .005-.008 from cylinder face, should give a little more room fora few more grains of powder.

I made some cases and loaded some of the RCBS 250 grainers using 4227. I also have the old "Shooting Steel" book that was a collection of articles from the "Silhouette" papers over the years. The best cast bullet found back then was a NEI 210 gas check. That is the bullet that was used to shoot the 1 1/16" 6-shot group @ 200 meters with 5 of the 6 printing a 0.765" group. Phil Briggs did some extended testing at 50 yards and the RCBS 250 cast bullet averaged a best of 2.19". This was an average of 3 separate 5-shot groups @ 50 yards. That is very respectable.
