Lead air pellets

I have take 2 buckets of scrape range air pellets ,is this alloy have some tin or antimony inside?

No, I would treat them as pure lead.[smilie=s:

I may be contradicted but I'd expect next to zero antimony or tin in air gun pellets.Probably close to pure lead.They need to be very soft.

I use them all the time they're pretty much soft

Yep very soft lead the good stuff either add tin and antimony or use for muzzle loaders unless you can cast for air rifle

They are normally on the softer side . But the biggest percentage of them are alloyed to a degree . If for no other reason shipping damage . There are more non lead pellets on the market and being used than there were in the past as well.Marvin

I was at my grandsons air rifle match a while back and noticed someone was melting down the expended pellets into ingots. I asked the range officer, he said he did that and sold them to a SCUBA shop to make dive weights. The ingots had a crystalized texture to them, I asked about that and he said it was zinc in the pellets, which made the alloy no good for bullets.

Tom Gaylord from pyramid air also believes the PBA non-lead pellets to be zinc. Bring your heat up slowly, skim out any pellets that are slow to melt and you should be fine.
