A friend of mine acquired some reloading equipment and components. He got a Lyman Press and the body is gray with Lyman on one side and "S - T" on the other side. The top of the press is 6 station turret that is red and accepts standard dies. How good is this press, got it cleaned up and it appears to work....I cant figure how the primer tube attached to the press....oh wise ones I need some information and instructions if you all have it.....The press appears to be solid and weighs a ton.....thanks in advance....Paul

Lyman Spar-T, good press for handgun ammo. You can use it for rifle, but in some of these the turret head tends to tilt backwards a bit regardless of the frame support in the back. Don't plan on precision rifle Ammo.

Primer set up is similar to most Single Stages of the time.

I agree with Lubedude. I have one of these and they work great for pistol ammo, however they do have a fair amount of flex and would not be good for precision rifle ammo.

On those ones, doesn't the primer tube dangle off of the primer arm?

Rory, Digging through the box of this and that parts and found a aluminum arm with a spring loaded primer cup....all rusted together and am soaking them and hoping to separate without damage....there is a small pin holding the metal to the aluminum sleeve.....

I use one to keep decapper, inline primer and other dies handy without resetting my main press. Sometimes one station is tighter than the others, I use it for sizing.
