i have the raven 25 auto and i want to reload for it......yes i'm crazy.
i've heard all the negatives for it too.

i have dies , the lyman 4 cavity mold in round nose... drops at 53 grain....versus 50 grains on jacketed round nose bullets.

i have 26 flavors of pistol powders, cci small pistol primers and winchester small pistol primers.

i have a few loads for jacketed bullets ....but nothing to find for cast ...(which will be powder coated.)

so...do i use less powder when the cast bullet weighs more than the jacketed ? or more powder? what the rule of thumb?

or...

does anyone have a pet load for 25 auto with cast that they'll share?

back off 10% and work back up, your starting a whole new adventure.

I'm interested in hearing the P/C trials more than the load details.

I slugged the barrel on my Bauer .25 at .248. Just FYI.

Good luck to you and keep us posted if you will.

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 3rd edition lists the following loads for their 252435 boolit.
Powder start top in grains
Bullseye .8grn 1.1grn
Red Dot .8 grn 1.1 grn
Green Dot 1.0 grn 1.3 grn
Unique 1.2 grn 1.6 grn
PB 1.0 grn 1.4 grn
700x 1.0 grn 1.4 grn
Disclaimer--I have reloaded exactly one box of 25 acp in my entire shooting career. and that was in 1977 or 1978. Those dinky cases were not user friendly. I used Bullseye, but I don't know how much.
