Thompson Center Katahdin ProHunter 460 S&W 20" Barrel

I'm thinking of buying one of these after watching videos on YouTube. https://youtu.be/iPK_DzRDY_8

Does anyone have one of these in the 460 S&W magnum caliber ? If so, please give me you full opinion on it.

i've been kicking around the 500 s&w in my head for a while now. but if you do order one, go with MGM barrels( http://matchgrademachine.com/ ). for $40-100 more, you get what you want. barrel length, factory, light weight or bull barrels. i believe they do factory irons, but you would have to check on that.
i have 4 MGM encore barrels( 20vartarg, 22-250ai, 6.5 creedmoor and 444 marlin) and they all go 1/2" or better at 100 yards. and this is coming from a one arm/leg stroke-abled kinda guy!!!:bigsmyl2: its well worth the money.

I have the 460 in the 20 inch tc barrel..I am happy with the accuracy. .it can be quite a handful with full power rounds..

I had one in 500 SW
what I have noticed is with soft load cast bullets some gas escape and putted some soot residue on the scope
soot escape where the barrel joins with the receiver

I have the Katadin in 45-70 and 500S&W - the one you want is the only one I don't have. The 500 is a kicker in that stock design. The 45-70 with the Gould boolit loaded to about 1200fps is a sweetheart.
