When I first got my new Vaquero I wanted to kill a deer with it bad. It seemed to be a struggle to make it happen. Once it did after that things seemed to fall in place. Now it's a rare year I don't get at least one with it, usually more with a coyote thrown in occasionally.

Havent got one with it this year yet but there's still two more weeks of season.
For me a doe with my pistol is more of a thrill than a decent buck with a rifle.

It'll be smooth sailing from here, once ya break the rut, seems sitting still and getting them into handgun range gets easier once you know how good the reward feels.
