I just finished putting together a 15" 460 I bought the Lee 300grain 452 double cavity mold W/GC.
I've read everything on the net and in all my loading books I can't find much info about the Lee 300 grain bullet.
has anyone used this bullet and how has it preformed and at what velocity.
Any help would be appreciated.
Flip.

I haven't used it in a 460 S&W but have in 454 Casull and Ruger only 45 Colt loads. The Lee 300 grain design is a WFN cast boolit with 80-82%ish meplat. Try and find data for a 300-325 grain WFN GC design and you should be getting close to where you need to go.

http://www.hodgdon.com/ has some data for a 325 grain Cast Performance bullet although it is a PB design and not a GC.

The 460 is a really long/big case for quick burners. Tail Boss may work out ok for mouse fart plinker loads as it is a bulky powder.
