I am tired of slowly turning and turning and turning a chuck key on a 5C collet chuck in the lathe.I wanted the battery powered electric drill to do it.
So I cut up a piece of 12L14 steel in 1/2" hex. This steel is very easy to work.

I wanted to pound a Philips quarter inch hex drive bit into the back end with 0.010" interference, so I would not need glue.
I put the soft steel in the mill and use the DRO [digital read out], to show me where to make the cuts so there would be a 9mm square that was centered on the 1/2" hex.
I used the 6" Kurt Mill vise to press the bit into the soft steel.
I sanded off the corners in the Kalamazoo, put it in the drill, and started working the 5C chuck .... see the 20 second video
