I have a Herters rifle press and am in need of a shell holder to fit a 7.62x39 case. Any idea what number I'm looking for?

Nope, but if you call Dave at CH4D he will sell you an adaptor so you can use standard shell holders.

I know that a 38 special is very close to the same dimension. I use my #32 RCBS for 38 special. RCBS calls for a #6 RCBS for 38 special. If you have one for a 38 try it. I will second Wayne's suggestion of buying a adapter.

To amswer Your Question. There are 2 Herters That will Fit
#1 I found some work well and Other Don't. The older Herters I use
#21 fit better than the above but again some work some Don't
I have several of both and Only 1 of each # work well.

Found a holder in my junk box that will fit, but it's for a RCBS so I found an adapter on e-bay that'll get me going.
