First I have been very sick for the last 3.5 weeks. first a severe cold then straight into the flu.. lost 12 lbs ..
just starting to feel some better

So last year I sent off a Remington 700 in 7-08 to JES to rebore to 358 Win as my cast only hunting rifle .. 24" 1-14 twist 3 groove

worked up a load but was to late to hunt with last year

This is how I test a Load for hunting after happy with previous groupings
shoot at least 2 rds then wait for different weather conditions hopefully a few days later ..then fire 1 to 2 more rds at same target
This time it was only I day
I would this load is ready to hunt :bigsmyl2:

Chronoed Velocity is 2369 FPS ... Gas checked

Flame red .. as written on the target ..
If you can read the terrible writing .. fingers don't work real well right now

Smoke that might need some more work, looks like on that one shot group, the boolit is keyholing!:kidding:

Seriously, looks to be outstanding. When they shoot that good, just quit shooting and walk away! No use wasting any more powder!:bigsmyl2:

I like the cold bore zero idea for a hunting rifle...

Mica
yes learned you can shoot all the ten shot groups you want but for a hunting rifle (at least around here ) I get one really good chance and ever so often a follow up . so I set my rifles up that way.
If I can not produce a shot very close to previous days/severals days shots its not really a load I want to take in the field
if temp changes the zero same thing

Looks like you'll hunt with confidence...good on you for knowing where that cold bbl. shot is going for hunting!

Looks like a tight grouping load too!
