I lost the needle on my 0-6" caliper. Does anyone know of a supplier? I have watched E-bay with no success.

Have you tried contacting the company? http://ecatalog.mitutoyo.com/Calipers-C1331.aspx

What needle are you refering to? The hand on the dial should have been captive with the crystal in place. Do yours use a small pin to rough zero? Not real sure what you mean by needle.

I have a Mitutyo, too, 'cept mine is digital -- no needle ;). However, a few years back I lost the needle on an Acetylene B bottle's regulator -- plastic dial cover had fallen off. I was a boy scout "den mother" back then, and I took the needle from a magnetic compass; clipped bottom (or top?) half of its needle off with a set of fingernail clippers; mixed up a bit of Devcon epoxy -- and it worked like a charm! I even used a few teeny drops of epoxy to refasten the lens. I still have the regulator/tank -- and all still functions. Just a thought for an el cheapo repair which worked for me...

Yes it is the hand on the dial. I messed and thought I had to disassemble to zero. I lost the needle.
