I do! Thanks for posting them.

My Pattern 14 is still in GI clothing, but I've often wondered how it would shoot in a stock like yours.

Laser engraved stock should only be of a 1 eyed hooker taking a **** in an out house IMHO

Nice looking rifle. Very professional update. What tool(s) did you use to remove the original rear site?

Thanks for sharing,

Nice looking rifle. Very professional update. What tool(s) did you use to remove the original rear site?

Thanks for sharing,

We filed down the ears and when we got most of them cut down, my friend milled it down on his milling machine, and then turned it in his lathe. I wish I could have been there for the whole conversion, but family obligations took my time.

He also had to braze a plug underneath the sight bridge. We were able to drill and tap for the base rail after that.

we polished the action, bolt and barrel, then sent
it to the bluing tanks of another gentleman.

we had to work the picatinney rail down to fit squarely across the action port. Worked out just fine I think.

I can harldy wait to try it! 3 more days till I can fire a few rounds!

Here is a few targets I Fired today. Its -15 to 20, and frigidly humid feeling today?! But That didn’t stop me from Flinging a few bullets down range!

This target is with a 46.0 grain charge of a bulk powder W760 ( a very slow lot of W760) and a Hornady 174 grain Interlock bullet. I never Chronyed the loads today, as I had forgot my Chronograph at home!

This is another charge of the bulk W760. The rifle seems to like this charge weight so far. I need to shoot a few more 5 shot groups to confirm this loads potential.

The rifle is showing some promise. Lots more shooting to do for load consistency confirmation!

You've got slick rig there.

I've always liked the P-14 and your example shows what a great rifle it is. Nice Work !

Nice shooting Dthunter. Nice looking rifle. I use H335 powder with jbullits.
P14 is tough and well made. love to see them still in use. I use mine often, and shoot my full military in competition.
Be well, stay warm.

Beautiful job on that M1917 !!
That's one of the best scope mounts I've ever seen on a sporterized military rifle. Clean, simple, strong and lot's of clearance for the action. Well Done Sir!

I Had a great day out shooting the P14 today! The P14 Shot one group that was much better than average! I pulled one round to the left on my second group, but all indications point to that I may have found my hunting load. This load is a little slow in velocity, but I don't think there will be any issues with that.

Now I am not so sure I want to rebarrel this rifle! Lol! Its shooting so well right now.

The first target has all the load information on it, and the second target I never took the time to write the information before I took the picture. I apologise for that.

This target is a load that has all the same components as the one above, just 1 grain higher in charge weight.
This load didn't cluster as tight as the one above (still 5 shots), but still did better than I expected this old rifle to do.

Overall, I look forward to retry these loads to confirm their performance at longer distances (200-300 yards) to see if they stay tight on target.

I tried two other groups with Imr4451 and they both showed a tendancy to group 4 shots together and one just outside the group. Sorry, no pictures available at this time. They were in the 1.2" to 1.35" range for the 5 shots. They have potential, as long as I can concentrate on 5 consecutive well squeezed shots!

I having fun with this old girl!

Looks to me like you done good! Great Groups. I have to load some of those Hornady 174's for my gun. Everybody I've talked to says they are the best bullets for .303's out there.

I also have some 215 gr Woodleigh's to try.
